Important Notice for Members of the University of Stuttgart

After consulting with the responsible parties at the University of Stuttgart, the following applies to members of the University of Stuttgart when applying for a group project:

• Students at the University of Stuttgart cannot apply independently for a group project. This is due to planned billing activities. In the future, we will account for the consumption of resources. Any consumption beyond the services provided by the bwIDM entitlement "bwCloud-Basic" can only be requested by individuals who have access to a cost center or account. For the University of Stuttgart, this means that only employees have access to these accounts or cost centers — students do not have independent access.
• If a group project is to be applied for, the application must be made by the supervising individual. In the case of courses, this is typically the course supervisor(s), the chairholder(s), or other university staff members with the appropriate access to accounts. The procedure is as follows:

1. The supervisor must be registered in bwCloud-OS.
2. The supervisor submits a ticket via bwSupportPortal, requesting the creation of a group project as described here.
3. We will then set up the group project with the supervisor as the group project owner.
